Colorado Performing Artist Angie Stevens

Described by many who’ve seen her perform as Grace Slick meets Joni Mitchell, acoustic-with-an-edge singer/songwriter and South Dakota native Angie Stevens (aka Lil' Angie) headed west to reach new audiences after twenty years living in the Midwest. Touring all over the Minnesota and South Dakota areas, Stevens had already earned enough recognition to play the Buffalo Chip at the Sturgis 2000 Motorcycle Rally with acts Sheryl Crow and the Allman Brothers.

After stopping in Denver that same year, Angie fell in love with the mountains and how “the small town feel meshed with the big city life.” She decided to stay. Since that time she has played Denver Metro area venues, including the Hard Rock Cafe, Paramount Cafe, Little Bear in Evergreen, Swanky's, Bull and Bush, Cricket on the Hill and at local festivals such as Hot Sounds in the City and Celebrate Colorado Artists. She's also played with rising acts such as Mason Jennings, Mark Reeves, Brenda Weiler, national blues recording artist Shannon Curfman, Crash Test Dummies, Marca Cassidy, and Wendy Woo.

Stevens currently has three albums worth of material: whole new route; live @ the E, and, Change is Here, and although the latter are both officially unreleased, burned copies have still found their way into the music world.
