Aubrey Collins
In an industry known for minting pop princesses, feminist folkies, and surly punkers, Aubrey Collins stands out. A disarmingly attractive performer who delivers power rock performances.
This last year has been a significant one in her accelerating career. She has been courted by a major record label, a New York television producer sending scripts for a new series, a well-known rock band manager, one of New York's top music attorneys, and Dave Matthew's booking agency.
As a result, she has been considering a variety of options. But at the same time, Aubrey has been in no rush to slot herself into one of the narrow categories that most female performers get assigned.
She delivers both style and substance, which is a surprisingly rare combination in commercial rock music today. And while she is still in her teens, it would be inaccurate to characterize Aubrey as a typical "teen" artist. Her look, sound, stage presence, and personality project a sophistication which resonates beyond typical MTV fare. She's a refreshing mixture of professional polish and attitude-free genuineness.
Over the last year she has been invited to perform on national television, at several state fairs, and at showcases in LA and NY. For the next few months she will be playing closer to home (Littleton, CO) while she works on several upcoming projects.
Recently she put together a four-song EP, with multi-platinum producer Trey Bruce, and features songs Aubrey co-wrote with Bruce; John Lowery (Marilyn Manson, David Lee Roth, Ozzy Osbourne, Wilson Phillips, Salt 'n' Peppa, kd lang) and Peter Amato, songwriter/ producer, (Aaron Carter, LeAnn Rimes, Ricky Martin).
